It hardly requires commentary, but if you’re up to date on the the White Lotus, wow. What a banger episode. In a previous edition of this newsletter, I flippantly referred to Walton Goggins as “that old man” and now I’m like, excuse me, the most superb actor of our generation? He didn’t even have to say words! His facial reactions and a short “mmhmm” did the trick.

I started drinking my coffee black. Little changes, ya know?
Yesterday was the first day of spring. My kids had a snow day. So that’s how our weather is going.
I’m embarrassingly influenceable and the internet told me to buy a weighted vest, so I did. And I love ittttt. You should hear me huff and puff up the stairs with a basket of laundry on my hip.
Spending a long weekend in Chicago for spring break. Where should we go? What should we do? Where’s the best pizza?

Reading
I’m passionate about reading and sharing books that are readily available at your library and don’t feature a waitlist 47 people long. So these are rarely new, hot releases, but if you’re intrigued, there’s a good chance for instant gratification at your library.
Table for Two by Amor Towles // A really great purse book, but it’s huge in physical format, so maybe download it on your kindle. This baby has a few short stories that you can dip into while you’re waiting for an oil change or in the dentist’s office, and that’s why I think it’s a perfect purse book. No plots to remember. Towles is one of the living greats and everything he writes hit so even though I’m only through the first short story, I feel really confident recommending it.
Shopping
Lather. Rinse. Repeat, baby.
Casually shopping to restock my summer uniform. I anticipate no change from last year’s uniform which was diligently a skort + that $8 tank top from Target + J Crew flip flops. I wore about a hundred variations of this every day for 5 months and never got sick of it.
For office days, I’m a diehard for a belted shirt dress like this number or this one.
Adding this beaded layering necklace to the rotation. Also this chic watch I’ve been wearing lately.
Last year I was fixated on finding cobalt blue birks while they were sold out everywhere. I found this less expensive pair that scratches the itch.
⭐Okay Old Navy! The romper for weekends + this casual but also a little sexy shirtdress for date night + linen blend top and bottom I’ll wear just about everywhere.
I picked up this cookbook from the library last week because I love to thumb through fancy recipes and good photography, but was delighted to find the recipes realistic and not filled with weird ingredients that I can only order online. I’ve made three recipes for dinner this week and promptly ordered a copy of my own. Very very very good cookbook!

.Related: I immediately googled this shirt from episode 2. It’s a little more than I like to spend on a button down, but boy did it look nice.

Walton Goggins has me gobsmacked (Goggsmacked?). Simply incredible television wow wow wow. And a meme for the AGES.
Chicago favorite things: River Cruise by Chicago Architecture center (best one but fills up quickest- I’d pre book); dinner at Girl and the Goat (res is a must—if with kids, idk how friendly the menu would be but my kid loved brunch at Little Goat by the same chef and in same area); Lincoln park zoo is amazing and free!; tour of Wrigley; I could go on and on! Fantastic city and the weather will likely be perfect when you go!
