I’m a masters-educated professional and I often feel that motherhood has made my mind mush. I’m pulled in so many directions that I often can’t focus on things as much as I’d like. While motherhood offers me a certain perspective, there are without a doubt drawbacks that affect my professional life. 2. JD Vance and the like can afford to pursue their careers because someone else is sacrificing to help raise his kids—wife, extended family, paid childcare, etc. 😵💫😠🙄
I agree so much - there's a lot more to be said about his comment. Not only is it a wide swinging over simplification, he also doesn't seem to be concerned that there are plenty of men who "don't have a stake in the future."
