After not getting them for years, I also subscribed to a few print magazines last year when there was a big sale, and I love it! It feels so nostalgic to sit outside on the patio with a good mag and a cold drink, like I did when I was younger (shoutout to Jane mag)

A tip- Better Homes and Gardens got a new editor and ELEVATED. Its so fresh (and they improved the quality of the paper, something I didn't realize completely changes the experience).

Ooh nice! I noticed a somewhat new logo on their cover page when I was perusing magazines. Oh but Jane - what a blast from the past! One of my favorites. Do you remember Tiger Beat?!

Oh yes, I was a Tiger Beat girl! There was a section in the back for swapping pen pals. Pictures and bios of kids with their HOME ADDRESS in a magazine you can pick up at the store?? Wild. I did exchange letters with a few kids over the years.

I found mean baby fascinating! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on “why are we even here writing newsletters”. The self doubt is real sometimes!!

Mean Baby is so curious! I'm only a quarter of the way in, and I'm interested to see how being categorized as a mean baby from the beginning will impact her life. Also - I had no idea Selma Blair is from Michigan! I am too, so it's been fun reading about her childhood in all my old stomping grounds.

Love a good magazine subscription! I'll treat myself to an alternating one each year, anything from a good old trashy Cosmo to The Atlantic to National Geographic. Sometimes they'll keep sending them after the subscription ends - I guess it ups their circulation numbers? I love having something simple to flip through on the beach or on an airplane. So hard to get into a book for me when there's too much distraction!

Yes! Agreed. I love having something fresh and fun to read between books.

Jen, keep at it!!! Makes you happy and makes us happy too. - question. Do you think a 5 year old would enjoy Inside Out 2?

Ooh it might be a touch early. The movie really centers on more mature puberty emotions so it’s not as easy to understand for little ones. I wouldn’t say it’s inappropriate, rather just not engaging for them.

Thank you, I figured!
